Welcome to the home page of The Wavendon Foundation, a charitable trust set up in 1999 by Sir John Dankworth and his wife, Dame Cleo Laine. You can read more about its roots on the next page. The aim of the charity as stated by our trust deed is “to raise funds for the benefit other registered charities or corporate bodies; or people who are, or have been, engaged in the education of the public through the performing arts, and for the relief of hardship among such people”.
